Leave was granted the committee on Ways and Means to
introduce a bill to amend the twenty-second section of article
thirty-eight, of the code of public general laws, in relation to
notaries public of Frederick county.
The bill entitled, an act to amend the eighty-fifth section
of article twenty-one of the code of public local laws, by rais-
ing the salary of the clerk of the commissioners of Washing-
ton county, &c.;
Was received from the Senate, proposing the following
amendment:
After the words "section 1," in the first line of first sec-
tion, insert: "Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land."
