Bill for the relief of Josephine A. Buckler, in
the Maryland Institute for the Instruction of the
Blind; reported favorably; read first time, and by
special order, and passed, 312.

A bill to pay John T. Wright a sum of money
as Assistant Doorkeeper to the Senate; referred
to, 348; favorable report, 522; passed, 854.

Favorable report by committee on, to amend
article 4th of the code of public local laws, relat-
ing to the collector of taxes in the city of Balti-
more, by adding thereto and repealing section 826
thereof, relating to the same subject; read first
time, and by special order second and third times,
and passed, 365.

Also, on the bill entitled, an act to amend the
8th article of the code of public general laws, by
adding thereto sections relating to tax on plain-
tiffs, 367; rejected, 735; reconsidered and reject-
ed, 764.

Favorable report on an act to amend the 7th
section of article 33d of the code of public general
laws, relating to the indigent blind, and to make
additional provision for their instruction, 382 ;
proceedings on, 640; read second time, and by
order, and passed, 641.

Also, on an act to amend the 80th article of the
code of public general laws, by adding thereto
sections imposing a tax on the commissions of
certain officers, 382: proceedings on, 761-2; pass-
ed, 763.

The committee on, instructed to inquire of the
Comptroller the amount of appropriations already
made by this General Assembly, and such other
amounts as are annually required to be paid by
the State by the laws now in force of the amount
due to St. John's College, &c, and report to this
House; adopted, 402.

A bill for the better collection of revenue from
auction sales in the city of Baltimore: referred
to, 403.
