Mr. Merrick moved the House adjourn;               

Which was determined in the negative.

The Secretary of the Senate returned the

Bill entitled, an act to incorporate the Patapsco Bank of Ma-
ryland;

Endorsed "passed by yeas and nays with the proposed amend-
ment."                                                                                           

Amendment Proposed.

" Be it enacted, That the limitations contained in the act of
January session 1853, chapter 441, entitled, an act to continue
the corporate existence of the several Banking Institutions there-
in mentioned, and the limitations and restrictions contained in
the act of January session 1854, chapter 152, entitled, an act to
repeal so much of the act of 1853, chapter 441, as restricts the
issue of bank notes by the several banking corporations in this
State, to the amount of the capital actually paid in, be and they
are hereby applied to the bank herein incorporated."             

"Make the last section in original bill section 16."
