Chester county from certain colonization taxes due the State of
Maryland in 1838 and 1839.                                                       

A bill entitled, an act for the relief of Aquilla Wiles of Har-
ford county.                                                                 

A bill entitled, an act appropriating a sum of money for the
payment of certain claims therein mentioned.

A bill entitled, an act for the preservation, security and keeping
in order the public buildings, and the custody of the fire appara-
tus, and appropriating a sum of money therefor.

Severally endorsed "passed by yeas and nays."

Mr. Harris from a select committee reported favorably on the
Senate bills entitled,

An act explanatory of an act entitled, an act to incorporate
companies to make turnpike roads in Baltimore county;

Also on a bill entitled, an act to prevent the circulation and
facilitate the detection of counterfeit bank notes.

The bill entitled, an act to refund to Amos Osborn collector of
the second collection district in Harford county, certain moneys
overpaid by him into the Treasury;

Was read the second time; and

Three fourths of the members concurring, was read the third
time and passed by yeas and nays as follows:
