Mr. Duvall moved to increase the salary of the Chief Clerk to
the Comptroller to twelve hundred dollars, and his Assistant Clerk
to eight hundred and fifty dollars;

Mr. Dowell moved to strike out, in lines 61 and 62, the words

"fifty dollars;"                                    

Which was adopted.

Mr. Lester moved to add at the end of section 1st, "for the
use of the Blind Asylum, $3000;"

Which was adopted.

Mr. Hall moved to amend by adding at the end of the 1st sec-
tion, the words "fifteen thousand dollars for the use of the Insane
Hospital;"

Mr. Bowling moved to substitute the words "ten thousand" in
place of "fifteen thousand,"

Which substitute was adopted.
