The bill was then sent to the Senate.
Mr. Brengle, Chairman of the Select Committee, reported un-
favorably on the petition of John Shaw, for the relief of himself
and wife.
Mr. Dorsey of the Special Committee, composed of the Anne
Arundel Delegation, reported favorably on the petition "of sundry
citizens of Anne Arundel county, asking that increased compen-
sation be allowed to the Sheriff of said County, for the subsis-
tence of State prisoners.
The same gentleman of the Special Committee, composed of
the Anne Arundel county and Baltimore city delegations, re-
ported favorably on the petition of numerous citizens of Balti-
more city and Anne Arundel county, for permission, to construct
a draw-bridge across the Patapsco river from the Ferry Bar to
Anne Arundel county.
On motion of Mr. Lester,
Said petition was recommitted.
