Mr. Stubbs offered the following-order:

Ordered, That bills Nos. 322, 323, 325, 326, and 373, being
those making appropriations for improvements on the Eastern
Shore of Maryland, be the special order for to-morrow evening,
9 o'clock;                                       

Which was adopted.                                                        

On motion of Mr. Merrick,

The rules were suspended to allow Mr. Stack to present a me-
morial of the Fanners and Merchants Bank of Greensborough,
Caroline county, remonstrating against the adoption of the report
of the select committee.                   

The bill and memorial were referred to the Committee on Cor-
porations.

On motion of Mr. Silver,                   

The rules were suspended to take up the bill entitled, an act
amendatory of the act passed at the present session, and entitled,
an act to lay out and establish a new Election District in Somer-
set county,

Which was read the second time, and three-fourths of the
members concurring,

The said bill was then read the third time, and passed by yeas
and nays as follows:
