On motion of Mr. Merrick,

The rules were suspended, three-fourths of the members con-
curring;                                 

The said resolution was read the second time and adopted.
The said resolution was sent to the Senate.

Also resolution relating to the advance by the State of Ma-
ryland to the United States, of $72,000 in the years 1791 and
1792;

Was read the first time, and three-fourths of the members con-
curring;                                                                                             

The said resolutions were rend the second time and adopted.
The said resolution was sent to the Senate.

On motion of Mr. Harris, ,
Leave was granted the St. Mary's delegation to introduce a
bill to increase the capital stock of the St. Mary's Savings Insti-
tution.
On motion of Mr. Parker,

Leave was granted the Worcester delegation to introduce a bill
to authorise the Commissioners of Worcester county to have all
deeds recorded in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of
Somerset county, prior to 1742, convening titles to lands over
which Worcester county has jurisdiction, to be copied by the
Clerk of the Circuit Court of Worcester county, and deposited
among the records in his office,
On motion of Mr. Wilson; of Somerset,                  

Leave was granted the Somerset delegation to introduce a bill
to authorise the administrator of Thomas H. Dougherty, dec'd,
to pay over certain moneys for the benefit of the infants.

On motion of Mr. Jarrett,

Leave was granted the Committee on Judiciary to introduce a
bill empowering John Tredway to make a deed to Valentine
Bowman.

On motion of Mr. Miller,

Leave was granted the Cecil delegation to introduce a bill to
change the name of Lydia Ann Bryan, of Cecil county, to Lydia

Ann Bryan Slayter.                             

On motion of Mr. Stack, it was

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal that Mr. Carper is
detained from his seat on account of indisposition.
