A resolution in favor of Thomas Jefferson Godman the repre-
sentative of Samuel Godman, an officer in the Maryland line dur-
ing the revolutionary war, authorising the grant to him of two
hundred acres of vacant land, lying to the westward of Fort
Cumberland in Allegany county, with the proposed amendment;

Amendments Proposed.

1st. After the word resolved in first line insert the words "by
the General Assembly of Maryland" also in same line strike out
the word "Register" and insert "Commissioners," and also in
same line strike out the words "for the Western Shore."

2nd. In 3rd line of said resolution strike out the words Thos.
Jefferson Godman, sr., of Charles county, and insert the words
"legal representatives."

3rd. Strike out in the title of the resolution the name of "Thom-
as Jefferson Godman, the representative" and insert the words .
"legal representatives;"
