The Door-keeper having returned and reported that he had no-
tified the absent members to attend:

On motion of Mr. Partridge,                    

The House proceeded to the consideration of bills entitled to a
third reading.

A bill entitled, an act to appropriate a sum of money to pay
John C. Mullikin, administrator of Owen Norfolk, late clerk of
the circuit court for Prince George's county, certain fees due said
deceased from the State;                                           

Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and pays as fol-

lows:

On motion of Mr. Wickes,

The rules were suspended to take up the bill entitled, an act to
authorise the Mayor and Councilmen of the city of Cumberland
to become a purchaser and shareholder of the capital stock of the
Pittsburgh and Connellsville railroad company to issue bonds of
payment of said stock; and to provide by taxation for the liquid
dation of said bonds;

The bill was then read the third time, and passed by yeas and
nays as follows;
