130               JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Jan. 25,

"Provided; however, that said Bank shall not issue Bank
notes, until seven thousand five hundred shares of the value of
twenty dollars each, shall be subscribed and fully paid, up, in
gold and silver coin or bank notes of par value in the city of
Baltimore.''

On motion of Mr. Lester,               

The bill was postponed till the 26th inst.                         

The bill entitled, an act to refund to James Sparks of Queen
Anne's county, a certain amount of money;

A bill, entitled, an act to prohibit the Clerks, of the several
Circuit Courts of the counties of this State, and the Superior
Court of the city of Baltimore, from issuing licenses to join in
marriage males under the age of twenty-one years, and females
under the age of sixteen years without the consent of the parent
or guardian of such persons;
