not exceeding in total at any time ten (10) per cent, of the
assessed valuation of the real property within said section,
and for these purposes said Martin's Additions 1, 2, 3 and 4
to the village of Chevy Chase shall be and hereby is consti-
tuted a corporation, and said Citizens' Committee is em-
powered to act for said corporation.

'Sec. 8. And be it further enacted, That the treasurer of
said Martin's Additions 1, 2, 3 and 4 to the village of Chevy
Chase shall deposit all funds coming into his hands as such
in accordance with the requirements of law for the deposit
of county funds by the County Treasurer or in such other
bank approved by the Citizens' Committee of said Martin's
Additions 1, 2, 3 and 4 to the village of Chevy Chase; pro-
vided that the treasurer of said Martin's Additions 1, 2, 3
and 4 to the village of Chevy Chase shall not 'dispose of any
of the funds coming into his hands as such treasurer, except
upon check duly signed by him as such treasurer and counter-
signed by the chairman or some member of the said Citizens'"
Committee acting as chairman pro tem, in his absence; such
acting chairman shall be duly authorized to act by resolu-
tion of said Citizens' Committee, which must first be placed
upon the minutes of the said Citizens' Committee to be pro-
vided therefor.

'Sec. 9. And be it further enacted, That the moneys in the
hands of the Chevy Chase Improvement Association, a cor-
poration formed for the purpose of carrying out the provisions
of Chapter 383 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land of 1910, or of the treasurer of said association, and all
moneys due said association or its treasurer and all property
of whatsoever character in the possession or control of said
Chevy Chase Improvement Association shall be turned over
to the said Citizens' Committee named in this Act, which shall
succeed to all the duties, rights and privileges of the Board
of Directors of said Chevy Chase Improvement Association
not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act.

'Sec. 10. And be it further enacted, That Chapter 383 of
the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1910, au-
thorizing special levies for the village of Chevy Chase, be
and the same is hereby repealed, in so far as the same may
apply to that part of said village known as H. M. Martin's
Additions 1, 2, 3 and 4 to the village of Chevy Chase, Mary-
land, and herein defined as Martin's Additions 1, 2, 3 and 4
to the village of Chevy Chase.
