SUBJECT: APPROPRIATION FOR SUPPORT OF STATE
GOVERNMENT FOR FISCAL YEAR ENDING SEPTEM-
BER 30, 1918.

[Endorsed: "Read the third time and passed by yeas and
nays, as amended"]

Amendments proposed by House of Delegates:

On page 3, line 2 of the printed Bill, strike out the word
'ten' and insert in lieu thereof the word 'twelve.7 "

"On page 10 of the printed Bill., line 57> strike out the
words 'Attorney General* and insert in lieu thereof the words
'Secretary.of State.777

"On page 12, line 67, strike out the words 'for the salaries
and expenses of the County Agents, the sum of twenty-three
thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary7 and
insert in lieu thereof the following: 'twenty-three thousand
dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary, for salaries
for County Demonstrators, not more than one thousand dol-
lars to be used in any one county; in the case of any county
not employing a County Demonstrator, the money shall revert
to the State Treasury.'"

"On page 3, line 17 of the printed Bill, insert after the word
'stenographer,' the words 'to the Clerk.'"

"On page 8, line 14, after the word 'Maryland,7 strike out
the words 'four thousand nine hundred' and insert in lieu
thereof .the words 'five thousand eight hundred.' "
