SENATE BILL No. 272, BY MR, ZIHLMAN.
SUBJECT: TRUST, SURETY AND FIDELITY.

[Endorsed: "Read the third time and passed by yeas and
nay s y as amended"]

Amendments proposed by the House of Delegates:

"On line 4, page 1 of the title, after the comma and before
the word 'title, ' insert 'and to add a new section to said
Article 23 to be known as Section 382. '"

"In Section 1, page 1, line 5, after the comma and before the
word 'title, ' insert 'and to add a new section to said Article
23 to be known as Section 382. ' "

"On page 3 before Section 2, add:

'Section 382. Any corporation,, trust, surety or fidelity
company, who shall print and circulate or cause to be printed
or circulated any printed or written matter, soliciting the legal '
business of the public generally and offering to do or perform
legal services free of charge, shall after first being notified
by the Insurance Commissioner to discontinue such practice
(and it shall be the duty of said Commissioner to send such
notice to the corporation, trust, surety or fidelity company
as soon as his attention is called to a violation of this Act)
and a reasonable time given to comply to the demand of the
Insurance Commissioner, upon the failure of any company
mentioned in this Article to comply with such demand, the
Insurance Commissioner shall cause the license of any said
corporation, trust, fidelity or surety company to be forthwith
revoked and suspended until the offending company shall
comply with the demand of the Insurance Commissioner. 7"

On motion of Mr. Zihlman the amendments were non-con-
curred in and Bill, as amended, was passed by yeas and nays
as follows:
