of the number of the supervisors set forth shall not prevent
the aforesaid County Commissioners from employing extra
supervisors or laborers in work needed upon any new road
which may have been or shall hereafter be opened in accor-
dance with law by the County Commissioners of the county, to
be paid for out of funds other than those set aside for the
purposes of this Act. The Board of County Commissioners is
hereby required to buy, purchase and supply for the several
supervisors so appointed by them such equipment as in the
discretion of the road engineer may be reasonably necessary
for work on said county roads, and each supervisor shall be
responsible for the safekeeping of all teams, tools, machinery
or other property entrusted to his or their charge, and shall
account for and deliver same to said road engineer whenever
required by said engineer to do so.

'Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That all Acts or parts
of Acts inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed.

'Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from and after the first day of June, 1916.' " [Which

which was read the second time.]
