No. 4—"Line 3, Section 1 of the printed Bill, after the word
'directed, ' strike out the balance of said line all of line 4
and the following words on line 5, to wit: 'Easton and Clai-
borne, in Talbot county and also' and insert in lien thereof
the following: in their discretion to., " [Which was read and
adopted. ]

No. 5—"Line 6, Section 1 of the printed Bill, after the word
'steamer' and preceding the word 'to, ' insert the words 'or
steamers. '" [Which was read and adopted. ']

No. 6—"Line 7, Section 1 of the printed Bill, after the word
'steamer' and preceding the word 'to, ' add the words 'or
steamers. '" [Which was read and adopted. ]

No. 7—"Lines 1 and 2, Section 2 of the printed Bill, strike
out the words 'one hundred and fifty thousand ($150, 000)'
and insert in lieu thereof the words 'fifty thousand ($50, -
000)'" [Which was read and adopted. ]

No. 8—"Lines 4 and 5, Section 2 of the printed Bill, strike
out the words 'one hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($150, -
000)' and insert in lieu thereof the words 'fifty thousand dol-
lars ($50, 000). '" [Which was read and adopted. ]

[Which favorable report was adopted, which was read the
second time and ordered printed -for a third reading. ]

Two-thirds of all the Senators voting in the affirmative, the
rules were suspended by yeas and nays as follows, and Bill
put upon its third reading and final passage:
