REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES.

Mr. Archer., from Committee on Amendments to the Con-
stitution, reported favorably, with amendments,

HOUSE BILL No. 446, BY MR. BRYANT.

SUBJECT: SHERIFFS.

Amendments proposed by Mr. Archer:

No. 1—"Strike out all after the word 'in' in line 3 of the
title, down to and including the word 'Talbot, ' in line 4 of
said title, and insert in lieu thereof the words 'the several. ' ""
[Which was read and adopted. ]

No. 2—"In Section 44, on page 2 of the Bill, strike out all
after the word 'comity, ' in line 1, down to and including the
word 'Talbot, ' in line 2; before the word 'shall' at the begin-
ning of line 11 of said section insert the word 'but, ' and after
the said word 'shall' insert the word 'not; ' strike out the
word 'said' at the beginning of line 12 of said section and
insert the word 'the, ' after the word 'shall' in line 12 of said
section insert the word 'however, ' after the word 're-election'
on lines 12 and 13 of said section, insert the following: 'for
the next ensuing term. '" [Which was read and adopted. ]

second time. ]

Mr. Archer, from Committee on Amendments to the Con-
stitution, reported, without recommendation,

SENATE BILL No. 425, BY MR. FRICK.

SUBJECT: JUDICIARY DEPARTMENT—COURTS OF
BALTIMORE CITY.

[Which was read the second time and ordered printed for a
third reading. ]

Mr. Cooper, from Committee on Finance, reported favor-
ably

HOUSE BILL No. 318, BY MR. BRYANT.

SUBJECT: STATE SUBSCRIPTION TO PERKINS*
ANNOTATED MARYLAND REPORTS.

[Which favorable report was adopted, which was read the
second time. ]

SENATE BILL No. 52, BY MR. CHESLEY.
SUBJECT: RELIEF OF RESIDENTS OF ST. GEORGE'S
ISLAND.
