Amendments proposed by the President to House Bill
No. 404:

"In Section 72-I, line 3 after the words 'for the' and before
the word 'schools, ' insert the word 'public. '" [Which was
read and adopted. ]

'Amend Section 72-H, page 25, in line 3 of said section,
after the words 'all the' and before the word 'school, ' insert
the word 'public. '" [Which was read and adopted. ]

"Section 12-B, line 6, after the words 'public school' and
before the words 'they shall, ' in line 8, strike out the words
'they shall prescribe the minimum entrance requirements to
all colleges and universities both public and private, ' and for
the word 'they, ' in line 8, after the word 'private, ' substitute
a capital 'T' for the small 't. ' " [Which was read and adopted. ]

"Section 17, in line 4, after the word 'August, ' strike out
'on such matters and in such form as the State Board of
Education may require and prescribe' and substitute 'as to
enrollment and courses of study on such forms as the State
Board of Education may provide. ' " [Which was read and
adopted. ]

"At the end of Section 173, at the bottom of page 59, of
the Bill, as printed for the third reading, add the following;
'Nothing in this Act shall be construed to modify the duties or
increase the powers of the State Board of Education with
reference to the schools in Baltimore city. '" [Which was
read and adopted. ]

Amendment proposed by Mr. Bomberger: "At the end of
Section 127 of the printed Bill, strike out the period and
insert the following: 'provided that this provision shall not
affect the right of schools on the approved list at the date of
the passage of this Act to receive State-aid. '" [Which was
read and adopted. ]

Amendments proposed by Mr. Allen to House Bill No. 404:

No. 1—"On page 4, Chapter 2, line 3 of the printed Bill,
immediately after the word 'Governor, ' insert the following:
'with the advice and consent of the Senate. '"

No. 2—"On page 5, line 5 of the printed Bill, after the word
'Governor; ' insert the following: 'with the advice and consent
of the Senate. '"

No. 3—"On page 6, line 57 of the printed Bill, after the
word 'qualify, ' strike out the period and in lien thereof insert
