THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC
WELFARE SHALL NOT BE AUTHOR-
IZED TO EXPEND FOR PUBLIC ASSIST-
ANCE IN ANY MONTH AN AMOUNT IN
EXCESS OF THAT COMPUTED BY DI-
VIDING THE TOTAL AVAILABLE AP-
PROPRIATION OF ALL FUNDS ORIGIN-
ALLY APPROPRIATED BY THE GEN-
ERAL ASSEMBLY FOR SUCH PURPOSE
BY THE NUMBER OF REMAINING
MONTHS IN THE FISCAL YEAR UN-
LESS THE APPROVAL OF THE BOARD
OF PUBLIC WORKS IS SECURED FOR
ANY SUCH EXCESS RATE OR AMOUNT
OF EXPENDITURE. THE PROVISIONS
OF THIS RESTRICTION SHALL APPLY
TO THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS:

AID TO DEPENDENT CHILDREN
PUBLIC ASSISTANCE TO NEEDY
