Whereas, this word was in error as there are no sub-titles in
Article 66A of the Code; and

Whereas, the error should be corrected in order to avoid any con-
fusion in the wording of this law; now, therefore,

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 12 of Article 66A of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1960 Supplement) title "Moving Pictures", be and it is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted with amendments, to read as follows:

12. The Board shall provide adequate offices and rooms in which
properly to conduct the work and affairs of the Board in the City
of Baltimore and the State of Maryland, and the expenses thereof,
as well as any other expenses incurred by said Board in the neces-
sary discharge of its duties, and also the salaries of the members
of the Board, each of whom shall receive such compensation as shall
be provided in the State budget, and each member of the Board shall
be reimbursed for actual and necessary expenses incurred in further-
ance of the Board's business within the State of Maryland, such as
mileage, at the rate established by the Board of Public Works, hotel
bills, the costs of meals and any other incidental expenses incurred
in attending meetings or carrying out the other provisions of this
[sub-title] Article, such reimbursement not to exceed three thousand
($3,000.00) dollars per annum for any member of the Board.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

CHAPTER 97
(House Bill 20)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 17 of Ar-
ticle 64A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title
"Merit System", correcting an error in the law relating to vacan-
cies in the classified State service and clarifying the provisions of
this section.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 17 of Article 64A of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Merit System", be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

17. Vacancies in Classified Service.

(a) Whenever a vacancy in any position in the classified service
is to be filled, the appointing authority shall make requisition upon
the Commissioner for eligibles. The Commissioner shall thereupon
certify to the appointing authority the names and addresses of the
five persons standing highest upon the eligible list for the class in
which the position is found, or if there be less than five, then such
name or names as may be on such list, and said appointing authority
shall appoint one of said persons so certified to said position. [That
