That Section 379 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Cecil County
(1953 Edition, being Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Cecil County", sub-title "Schools", be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
379.
Each member of the County Board of Education of Cecil County
shall receive annually the sum of [two] six hundred [and fifty]
dollars for traveling and other expenses incident to attending the
meetings and transacting the business of said board.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961,

AN ACT to add new Section 2-30A to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Anne Arundel County (1957 Edition, being Article 2 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Anne
Arundel County", sub-title "Administration", sub-heading "County
Commissioners", said new section to impose a limit, as defined,
on the authority of the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel
County to incur debt in the name of the County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That, new section 2-30A be and it is hereby added to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Anne Arundel County (1957 Edition, being
Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Anne
Arundel County", sub-title "Administration", sub-heading "County
Commissioners", to follow immediately after section 2-30 thereof,
said new section to read as follows:
2-30A. On and after June 1, 1961, the County Commissioners of
Anne Arundel County shall incur no debt nor shall it issue or endorse
any bonds pursuant to the authority of any act, either now in effect or
subsequently enacted, if, by such issuance or endorsement, the total
par value of such bonds plus the par value of all outstanding and
unpaid bonds previously issued or endorsed by the County Commis-
sioners of Anne Arundel County exceeds fourteen per centum (14%)
of the then assessed value of all real and personal property subject
to assessment for unlimited taxation by Anne Arundel County, pro-
vided, however, that in determining the debt limitation imposed by
this Act, bonds issued by the Anne Arundel County Sanitary Com-
mission in accordance with Section 22-82 of the Anne Arundel County
Code 1957, or any other law, shall not be taken into account.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.
