132. (A) THE OPEN SEASON FOR GAME BIRDS AND GAME
ANIMALS SHALL BE SET BY REGULATION OF THE GAME AND
INLAND FISH COMMISSION UNDER AUTHORITY CONFERRED
UPON IT BY SECTION 115 OF THIS ARTICLE WITHIN THE
PRESCRIBED DATES LISTED BELOW. THE GAME AND IN-
LAND FISH COMMISSION SHALL ADOPT AND PUBLISH SEA-
SONS ON GAME BIRDS AND GAME ANIMALS ANNUALLY ON
OR BEFORE APRIL 25 OF EACH YEAR, PROVIDED, HOWEVER,
THAT WHENEVER THE GAME AND INLAND FISH COMMIS-
SION, IN THE EXERCISING OF ITS POWERS AND AUTHORITY,
RESTRICTS OR REDUCES THE NUMBER OF DAYS NORMALLY
ALLOWED FOR THE HUNTING, TAKING, CAPTURING, KILL-
ING, POSSESSION, SALE, PURCHASE, SHIPMENT, TRANSPOR-
TATION, CARRIAGE OR EXPORT OF ANY WILD BIRD OR WILD
ANIMAL BECAUSE OF AN EMERGENCY SITUATION, OR CON-
DITION, SAID GAME AND INLAND FISH COMMISSION SHALL
HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO EXTEND THE PERIOD AFORE-
MENTIONED BEYOND THE DAYS SPECIFIED BELOW SO AS
TO PROVIDE A COMPARABLE NUMBER OF DAYS IN ANY
GIVEN SEASON FOR THE HUNTING, TAKING, CAPTURING,
KILLING, POSSESSION, SALE, PURCHASE, SHIPMENT, TRANS-
PORTATION, CARRIAGE OR EXPORT OF ANY WILD BIRD OR
WILD ANIMAL. THE SEASONS FOR WILD DUCKS, GEESE,
BRANT, RAILBIRDS, WOODCOCK, DOVES AND JACKSNIPE
SHALL BE SET ANNUALLY AND PUBLISHED EACH YEAR IN
ORDER THAT THEY MAY, IN THE DISCRETION OF THE COM-
MISSION, CONFORM TO THE FEDERAL MIGRATORY BIRD
REGULATIONS ADOPTED ANNUALLY BY THE SECRETARY
OF THE INTERIOR.
