alcoholic beverage laws of Worcester County in order to provide
for the issue of licenses by the Board of Liquor Commissioners of
that county, and to eliminate the requirement for an applicant for
a beer, wine and liquor license to furnish a bond.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections and 60(i) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1960 Supplement), title "Alcoholic
Beverages", sub titles "Beer, Wine and Liquor Licenses" and "Pro-
cedure for Issue of Licenses", be and they are hereby repealed and

re enacted, with amendments, and that new Section 20 (m-1) to fol-

low immediately after Section 20(m) thereof be added to the same

Code and Article, all to read as follows:

THAT SECTIONS 19 (M), 20 (M-1) AND 60 (I) OF ARTICLE 2B
OF THE ANNOTATED CODE OF MARYLAND (1957 EDITION
AND 1960 SUPPLEMENT), TITLE "ALCOHOLIC BEVER-
AGES", SUB- TITLES "BEER, WINE AND LIQUOR LICENSES"
AND "PROCEDURE FOR ISSUE OF LICENSES", BE AND
THEY ARE HEREBY REPEALED AND RE-ENACTED, WITH
AMENDMENTS, TO READ AS FOLLOWS:

19.

(m) Bona fide hotels having twenty (20) or more rooms, regu-

larly serving meals, or restaurants as such restaurants are by ordi-

nance defined by the mayor and city council of Ocean City, upon

compliance with the general provisions and regulations of this
article, and upon payment of an annual license fee as hereinafter

provided shall, with the approval of the mayor and city council of

Ocean City, be entitled to a license entitling such hotel or restaurant

to serve liquors, wines and beers within the corporate limits of said

town of Ocean City between the hours of 7 A.M. and 11:00 P.M.,

and provided, however, that no alcoholic beverages may be sold as
provided under this sub title and the first day of the week, commonly
called Sunday; and provided further, that such licensees shall pur-

chase all liquors and wines from the liquor control board of said

county The mayor and city council of Ocean City shall by ordinance
prescribe uniform license fees for such licenses of not less than

five hundred dollars ($500.00) and no more than five thousand
($5,000.00) [; and provided further, that, in
addition to the license
fees required hereunder, such licensee shall file a bond with corporate
surety in the amount of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) with the

clerk of court conditioned for faithful performance of the regulations

prescribe herein]. The [clerk of the Circuit Court] board of li-

cense commissioners for said county shall remit the license fees col-

lected by [him] it hereunder to the municipality in which the licensee
is located after deducting a fee of one dollar ($1.00) for each license
issued by [him] the
board, in lieu of commission.

(M) WORCESTER COUNTY.—(1) OCEAN CITY. BONA
FIDE HOTELS HAVING TWENTY (20) OR MORE ROOMS,
REGULARLY SERVING MEALS, OR RESTAURANTS AS SUCH
RESTAURANTS ARE BY ORDINANCE DEFINED BY THE
MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF OCEAN CITY, UPON COM-
PLIANCE WITH THE GENERAL PROVISIONS AND REGULA-
TIONS OF THIS ARTICLE, AND UPON PAYMENT OF AN
ANNUAL LICENSE FEE AS HEREINAFTER PROVIDED
SHALL, WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE MAYOR AND CITY
COUNCIL OF OCEAN CITY, BE ENTITLED TO A LICENSE
