CHAPTER 344

(Senate Bill 466)

AN ACT to repeal Section 503-A1 of Article 10 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Dorchester Coun-
ty", sub-title "Sheriff", as said section was enacted by Chapter 886
of the Acts of 1941, repealing an obsolete and duplicating local law
for Dorchester County which concerns the sheriff's expenses in
maintaining the county jail, transporting prisoners, and discharg-
ing other duties of office.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 503-Al of Article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Dorchester County", sub-title
"Sheriff", as said section was enacted by Chapter 886 of the Acts of
1941, be and it is hereby repealed.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

Approved April 24, 1961.

CHAPTER 345
(Senate Bill 470)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 3 (j),
14 (c), and 134 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Elections", sub-titles respectively "Super-
visors of Elections and Employees", "General Powers and Duties of
Supervisors of Elections" and "Board of Canvassers", to amend
the election laws applicable to Charles County with respect to
salary of the Board of Supervisors of Elections, the use of certain
private buildings for polling places and registration purposes and
the place of meeting of the board of canvassers.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 3 (j), 14 (c), and 134 of Article 33 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Elections", sub-titles respec-
tively "Supervisors of Elections and Employees", "General Powers
and Duties of Supervisors of Elections" and "Board of Canvassers",
