force are hereby authorized to confiscate and liberate into the waters
of the State any fat crab, snot crab, green crab, or buckram crab
wherever found and held in violation of this section, and said officers
are further authorized to confiscate any hard crabs, peelers or soft
crabs of a size less than the measurements hereinbefore provided,
wherever found, and shall dispose of any crabs so confiscated under
the direction of the Commission of Tidewater Fisheries to the best
interests of the State.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

CHAPTER 295
(Senate Bill 471)

AN ACT to add new Section 134B to Article 56 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1960 Supplement), title
"Licenses", sub-title "Gypsies, Fortunetellers, Etc.", to follow im-
mediately after Section 134A thereof, to provide for licensing of
palm readers and other fortunetellers in Charles County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 134B be and it is hereby added to Article 56 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1960 Supplement),
title "Licenses", sub-title "Gypsies, Fortunetellers, Etc.", to follow
immediately after Section 134A thereof, and to read as follows:

134B. Notwithstanding any other sections of this Article, in
Charles County any palm reader, fortuneteller, or soothsayer, or
similar person, shall apply to the Board of County Commissioners of
Charles County for a license to carry on such business. The license
shall be issued by the Board only upon proof that said person has
been a resident, taxpayer, and property owner of Charles County for
at least eighteen (18) months prior to the application for license.
The annual fee for the license shall be $250. and the license shall be
issued by the clerk of the Circuit Court and may be revoked by the
Board for good cause.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.
