follows:

Buses with a seating capacity of 29 or fewer..

Buses with a seating capacity of 30 to 37.............

Buses with a seating capacity of 38 to 45..............

(2)  The Department shall pay to the county or Baltimore City in
which the owner of a Class I motor vehicle resides, the sum of $35.00,
$40.00, $50.00 or $60.00 depending on the seating capacity, as de-
scribed above, and if the owner also resides within the corporate
limits of any municipality or special taxing area in a county, the
municipality or special taxing area shall be entitled to receive from
the county the sum of $17.50, $20.00, $25.00, or $30.00 depending on
the seating capacity as described above.

(3)  Motor vehicles paying the annual fee required by Section 184
(a) of Article 56 or Section 273 (a) of Article 81 shall not be subject
to the fees required by this sub-section.

Sec. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby declared
to be an emergency measure and necessary for the immediate preser-
vation of the public health and safety, and having been passed by a
yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of the members elected
to each of the two houses of the General Assembly, the same shall
take effect from the date of its passage, and to apply to the registra-
tion of those motor vehicles herein referred to on and after May 1,
1961, to be effective for one year, through April 30, 1962, and to be
subject to re-enactment.

(House Bill 70)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 90 (a)
and (e) and 341 (d) of Article 66½ of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Motor Vehicles", sub-title "Ad-
ministration-Registration-Titling" and "Offenses and Prosecu-
tions", providing that the fee for instruction and examination
permits for a motor vehicle operator's license charged by the
Department of Motor Vehicles shall be increased and that the
increase over present fees shall be placed in a special fund to be
known as the Driver Education Fund and to be used to finance
the driver education program.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 90 (a) and (e) and 341 (d) of Article 66½ of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Motor Vehicles",
