the exemption of the shares of stock of Small Business Investment
Companies from ordinary taxes for the period January 1, 1959
through December 31, 1963, and providing generally for the abate-
ment of assessments and refund of taxes paid by such companies
on said shares.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new Section 9(50) be and it is hereby added to Article 81 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1960 Supple-
ment), title "Revenue and Taxes", sub-title "What Shall be Taxed and
Where", to follow immediately after Section 9(49) thereof, and to
read as follows:

9(50). All shares of stock in any corporation licensed under the
Small Business Investment Act of 1958, as amended (15 USCA 661
et seq., as amended), for the period January 1, 1959 through Decem-
ber 31, 1963. Any assessments made prior to June 1, 1961, upon the
shares of stock of any such licensed corporation are hereby abated and
any taxes paid prior to June 1, 1961, upon such assessments shall be
refunded upon application by the taxpayer.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

(House Bill 542)

AN ACT to add new Sections 315 to 321G 321-I, inclusive, to Article
18 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition),
title "Queen Anne's County", to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 314 thereof and to be under the new sub-title "Plumbing and
Health", Sections 315 and 316 haying been repealed by Chapter
855 of the Acts of 1943, and Sections 317 to 321, inclusive, hav-
ing been repealed by Chapter 929 of the Acts of 1945, requiring
the obtention of a "Sanitary Construction Permit", and "Build-
ing Permit", before beginning construction of any new building or
any major addition or alteration to existing building, establishing
procedure for obtaining such permit and fees for same, creating
a Plumbing Inspector and a County Plumbing Board, and pro-
viding for licensing of plumbers in Queen Anne's County, and
requiring permits for appliance installations and certain mainte-
nance work in the county.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Sections 315 to 321G 321-1, inclusive, be and they are hereby
added to Article 18 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Queen Anne's County", to follow immediately
after Section 314 thereof and to be under the new sub-title "Plumb-
ing and Health", Sections 315 and 316 having been repealed by
Chapter 855 of the Acts of 1943, and Sections 317 to 321, inclusive,
having been repealed by Chapter 929 of the Acts of 1945, and all to
