IMMEDIATELY NOTIFY THE LICENSEE BY REGISTERED
MAIL TO REMOVE THE STAKES WITHIN THIRTY DAYS
AFTER RECEIPT OF NOTICE. IN THE EVENT THE LICENSEE
FAILS TO COMPLY WITH SAID NOTICE THE COMMISSION
SHALL REMOVE ANY STAKES REMAINING AND SHALL IM-
MEDIATELY RECALL AND CANCEL FOR A PERIOD OF TWO
YEARS ALL FISHING LICENSES OF THE PERSON FAILING
TO COMPLY WITH THE NOTICE.

IN THE EVENT THAT THE LICENSEE AND OWNER OF THE
STAKES CANNOT BE LOCATED, THE COMMISSION SHALL
REMOVE SAID STAKES.

Applications for license shall be filed on forms supplied by the
Commission of Tidewater Fisheries, and accompanied by the fee fixed
by law for the nets sought to be licensed. The applicant shall furnish
such information as the Commission of Tidewater Fisheries may
require, to determine whether the applicant is eligible under Section
262 and Section 296 of this subtitle to receive the license, and shall
state that the applicant has been a bona fide resident of this State
for at least twelve months preceding his application, or if he is a
nonresident that he is the lawful owner of land bordering on waters
in the county where he desires to fish. The application shall also
state the exact location where such net or nets will be set, in the case
of pound nets. The application also shall contain a sworn statement
that if the applicant ever previously had a license for nets and seines
in Maryland, or either, he has complied with the provisions of this
article (and in particular section 264 (g) thereof) concerning the
removal and renewal of stakes.
Failure to furnish such information
or a false statement as to any material fact, shall constitute sufficient
grounds for denial of the application.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

(House Bill 466)

AN ACT to add a new Section 707 (g-1) to Article 66C of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Natural Resources",
subtitle "Oysters and Clams", to follow immediately after Section
707 (g) thereof, and to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
Section 707 (i) of said Article and subtitle, to authorize the Tide-
water Fisheries Commission after an advertised public hearing
and other procedure to establish special areas within the waters
