(Senate Bill 269)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 35A of
Article 101 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1960 Supplement),
title "Workmen's Compensation", sub-title "Application of Ar-
ticle; Extra-Hazardous Employments", to provide workmen's com-
pensation insurance for prisoners working on roads in Harford
County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 35A of Article 101 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1960 Supplement), title "Workmen's Compensation", sub-title "Ap-
plication of Article; Extra-Hazardous Employments", be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
35A.
The provisions of Section 35 shall apply to any prisoners working
for the county roads board or the Board of County Commissioners of
Wicomico, Frederick, Harford, or Worcester Counties.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 49 of
Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1960 Supplement),
title "Public Education", sub-title "Chapter 5. County Board of
Education", increasing the amount provided for traveling and
other expenses of the County Board of Education of Wicomico
AND GARRETT County. COUNTIES.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 49 of Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1960 Supplement), title "Public Education", sub-title "Chapter 5.
County Board of Education", be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
49.
The county board of education shall hold an annual meeting each
year on the second Tuesday in May, or as near as possible thereto
in May, except that in Montgomery County such annual meeting
shall be held on or before the tenth day of January in each year.
At this meeting the board shall elect one of its members to serve
as president and one to serve as vice-president. Other regular
meetings shall be held at least once in each school term, and such
special meetings may be held as the duties and business of the board
may require. The members of the county boards of education shall
