To the Mt. Rainier Volunteer Fire Department eight and seventy-
five/one hundredths (8.75) per cent;
To the Brentwood Volunteer Fire Department, eight and seventy-
five/one hundredths (8.75) per cent; and,
To the Hyattsville Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., eight and
seventy-five/one hundredths (8.75) per cent.
652. (d-2). From and after July 1, 1961 the rate of fire tax levied
and assessed by Section 652 (a) hereof shall be ten cents, the proceeds
of the first eight cents to be payable and disbursed as provided by
Section 652 (d-1) and the proceeds of the remaining two cents shall
be payable and disbursed to Chillum-Adelphi Volunteer Fire Depart-
ment, Inc.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1961.

(House Bill 636)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 108 (16)
of Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Justices of the Peace", sub-title "Trial Magistrates System",
providing an increase in the salary of the two full time magistrates
who sit in Prince George's County AND ELIMINATING OBSO-
LETE WORDING IN SAID SECTION RESPECTING A MAGIS-
TRATE FOR JUVENILE CAUSES.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 108 (16) of Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1957 Edition), title "Justices of the Peace", sub-title "Trial
Magistrates System", be and the same is hereby repealed, re-enacted
and amended to read as follows:
108.
(16) Prince George's County.—There shall be two full-time magis-
trates, each of whom shall receive an annual salary of [$7,500.00]
$9,000.00, and who shall sit not less than five days a week. One of
the said magistrates shall sit at Upper Marlboro and the other at
Hyattsville, the magistrate at Upper Marlboro shall sit not less
than one day or part thereof in each week, in Seat Pleasant district,
and the magistrate at Hyattsville shall sit not less than one day or
part thereof in each week at Laurel, and may, in his discretion, sit
in Seat Pleasant district, as the public business may require, pro-
