front foot benefit charges in Anne Arundel County be treated as
county taxes, specifying the manner in which property subject
to past due benefit charges shall be sold and redeemed, and relating
generally to front foot benefit charges in Anne Arundel County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 22-62A be and it is hereby added to the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws of Anne Arundel County (1957 Edition, being Article
2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Anne Arundel
County", sub-title "General Local Laws", sub-heading "Waters and
Sewers", to follow immediately after Section 22-62 thereof, and to
read as follows:
22-62A.
Front foot benefit charges shall, for all purposes of collection, be
treated as County Taxes, shall bear the same interest, the same
penalties and, when same become in default, be advertised in the
same manner as and with County Taxes, the payment of which is
in default, and all property subject to such past due front foot bene-
fit charges shall be sold for the same at the same time and in the
same manner as properties are sold for past due County Taxes. No
property redeemed from a County Tax Sale, and no property sold
by the County Commissioners after a final tax sale shall be redeemed
or sold except upon the payment of the front foot benefit charge
currently and past due thereon.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 534A of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Anne Arundel County (1947
Edition, being Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Anne Arundel County", sub-title "Sanitary Dis-
tricts", which section was enacted by Chapter 801 of the Acts of
1959, and to re-codify said section as Section 22-76A of the Anne
Arundel County Code (1957 Edition being Article 2 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Anne Arundel County",
sub-title "Waters and Sewers", sub-heading "Connection Charges",
to follow immediately after Section 22-76 thereof, relating to the
issuance of permits for the construction, alteration or extension
of a water supply system or a sewage collection and disposal sys-
tem in any area of Anne Arundel County, except the City of
Annapolis.
