Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 60 (g) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title, "Boards
of License Commissioners", be and the same is hereby repealed, re-
enacted and amended to read as follows:

60.

(g) Prince George's County.—In Prince George's County, if the
applicant proposes to do business in an incorporated town, written
notice of the application shall also be given to the governing body of
said municipality. If the application is for a location within the
corporate limits of the City of Takoma Park, such license, if other-
wise approved for issue, shall not be issued unless the Mayor and
City Council of Takoma Park shall approve the issuance thereof;
provided, however, that the provisions of this sentence shall not
apply to any application for license by way of renewal or by way
of transfer for the same premises. If it shall appear that more
than fifty per centum in numbers of the owners of real or leasehold
property situated within three hundred feet of the place of business
for which application is made are opposed to the granting of the
license, then the application shall not be approved, and the license
applied for shall be refused; provided, however, that the provisions
of this sentence shall not apply to any application for license by way
of renewal or by way of transfer for the same premises.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby declared
to be an emergency measure and necessary for the immediate preser-
vation of the public, health and safety, and having been passed by
a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of all the members of
the two houses of the General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 74(b)
SECTIONS 74 (A) and 74 (B) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title
"Rights and Duties of Licensees", relating to transfer of licenses
in Prince George's County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 74(b) SECTIONS 74 (A) AND 74 (B) of Article 2B
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic
Beverages", sub-title "Rights and Duties of Licensees", be and the
same is hereby repealed, re-enacted and amended to read as follows:
