The officers of the Maryland State Police force, the Montgomery
County and Prince George's County police, the police of the Town
of Laurel, the police of all other municipal corporations in Prince
George's County which are subject to the provisions of Article HE
of the Constitution of Maryland,
the regular members of the police
force, the paid firemen, the engineers, and linemen of the electric light
plant, of Frederick City, the members of the police department and
of the fire department of the City of Cumberland, and all guards
employed by any of the penal institutions of this State, shall be
deemed workmen for wages within the meaning of this section.

Whenever and so long as by State law, city charter, or municipal
ordinance, provision equal to or better than that given under the
terms of this article is made for municipal employees injured in the
course of employment, such employees shall not be entitled to the
benefits of this article.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1,1961.

CHAPTER 709
(House Bill 437)

AN ACT to add an additional area in Montgomery County to the
Washington Suburban Sanitary District, said additional area lying
generally within the Potomac and Rockville Election Districts of
Montgomery County and being an extension of the Sanitary Dis-
trict in the Bells Mill Road-Tuckerman Lane area.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Area herein described is hereby added to the Washington
Suburban Sanitary District created by Chapter 122 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of 1918:

All that area in the Potomac and Rockville Election Districts of
Montgomery County, Maryland, lying within the following described
boundaries:

Beginning for the same at a point on the existing boundary of
the Washington Suburban Sanitary District said point being at the
beginning of the twelfth or North 60° 40' 20" West, 704.86 foot line
of a deed from James C. Conley, et ux, to J. C. Conley Construction
Co., Inc., dated June 21, 1960 and recorded among the Land Records
of Montgomery County, Maryland in Liber 2747 at Folio 435, and
running thence in a northwesterly direction with and along the
twelfth through the eighteenth lines inclusive of the aforesaid deed

recorded in Liber 2747 at Folio 435 to the end of the first or South

5°37' 20" West, 1155.0 foot line of a deed from Alvin O. Stephens,
