transportation in a town of a population of more than fifty thousand
(50,000) inhabitants, and registered as a school bus by the Depart-
ment of Motor Vehicles.

265. It shall be unlawful for any person to operate or permit to
be operated any motor vehicle with the words "school bus" painted
or printed thereon if such bus is not used as a bus for the trans-
portation of children to and from school, and not registered as a
school bus by the Department.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

CHAPTER 701

(House Bill 254)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 165 (f)
of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "County Liquor Control
Boards and Dispensaries", to increase the maximum amount of
reserve funds set aside for working capital for the alcoholic bev-
erage dispensaries in Somerset County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 165 (f) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "County
Liquor Control Boards and Dispensaries", be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

165. (f)

All net profits arising from the operation of said dispensaries
shall be first applied towards the payment of any and all sums
advanced to or borrowed by the liquor control board. After such
sums have been paid, the said board shall be authorized to create and
maintain a reserve fund not to exceed [ten thousand dollars
($10,000),] thirty thousand dollars ($30,000), to provide adequate
working capital and to meet any losses that may be sustained by the
board in the operation of such dispensaries. Seventy-five per
centum (75%) of all net profits in excess of the above shall belong
to and be paid over to the County Commissioners of Somerset County
on or before May 1st in each and every year, and the remaining
twenty-five per centum (25%) shall, on or before June 1st each
year be paid to the mayor and city council of Crisfield and Princess
Anne to be divided equally.

The amounts paid to the mayor and council of Crisfield and
Princess Anne shall be used for general municipal purposes.
