(Senate Bill 111)
AN ACT to repeal Sections 53, 54, 55 and 274 of Article 24 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 edition), title
"Worcester County", sub-titles "Circuit Court" and "Revenue and
Taxes", and to repeal Chapter 110 of the Acts of 1931 repealing
certain obsolete laws of Worcester County concerning the collection
of taxes, the list of transfers on the tax books of the County, and
the recordation of certain deeds for property that has been con-
veyed, all such laws no longer having application or force.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 53, 54, 55 and 274 of Article 24 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 edition), title "Worcester County",
sub-title "Circuit Court" and "Revenue and Taxes", and that Chapter
110 of the Acts of 1931, be and they are hereby repealed.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

CHAPTER 123
(Senate Bill 132)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 243, 244,
and 256 of Article 24 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Worcester County", sub-title "Revenue
and Taxes"; and to repeal Sections 258, 259, 260, 266 and 267 of
said Article and sub-title (1930 Edition), removing certain ob-
solete and incorrect material from the local laws of Worcester
County concerning revenue and taxes, assessments, tax sales, and
the County Treasurer, and generally amending the revising of the
local laws of Worcester County with respect to the assessment and
collection of taxes, tax exemptions, tax sales and the powers and
duties of certain county officials.
Whereas, In the local laws of Worcester County there are obsolete
and incorrect provisions concerning the assessment of property
which should be removed because of subsequent changes in the state-
wide laws relating to assessments; and
Whereas, There also are tax sale provisions which are no longer
effective because of the enactment of the statewide tax sale law; and
Whereas, It is desirable to make these several changes in prepar-
ation for the publication of a new Code of Public Local Laws of
Worcester County; now, therefore
