Three (1963) on each One Hundred Dollars ($100. 00) of assessable

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
on June 1, 1962.

CHAPTER 72
(House Bill 9)

AN ACT to authorize the creation of a State debt in the aggregate
amount of Seven Million Dollars ($7, 000, 000) FIVE MILLION
DOLLARS ($5, 000, 000), the proceeds thereof, to be used for the
purpose of supplementing grants made to municipalities by the
Federal government under the Water Pollution Control Act, and
for the purpose of abating, preventing and reducing the pollution
of the waters, rivers and streams of the State of Maryland by grant-
ing financial assistance to municipalities for the construction of
necessary sewage treatment works: providing certain restrictions
upon the expenditure of such funds; and providing generally for
the issue and sale of certificates of indebtedness evidencing such
loan.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Board of Public Works is authorized and directed to issue
a State loan to be known as the Sewage Treatment Works Loan of
1962, in the aggregate amount of Seven Million Dollars ($7, 000, 000)
FIVE MILLION DOLLARS ($5, 000, 000).
