FIRST READING OF SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION

Senate Joint Resolution No. 1—By Senators Malkus and Weant:

A Joint Resolution of the General Assembly of Maryland directed
against the construction given by the judiciary to the Fourteenth Amend-
ment in cases concerning reapportionment of State legislatures and the
conduct of State elections.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on Rules.

RECESS

At 9: 10 o'clock P. M., on motion of Mr. Boone, the House took a
recess until 10: 30 o'clock A. M.

AFTER RECESS
