Amendment to House Bill No. 20

Strike out all of lines 1 through 15, inclusive, of Section 8-1 on
page 1 of the third reading file bill and insert in lieu thereof the following:
•"8-1.
The Governor shall within thirty days after June 1, 1962, appoint a
Board to be known as the Board of Electrical Examiners and Super-
visors for Anne Arundel County, and the members of such Board shall
be three Master Electricians licensed in and resident of Anne Arundel
County, one of whom shall be a resident of the City of Annapolis. The
initial appointees to such Board shall be the three members of the
preceding Board of Electrical Examiners and Supervisors of Anne
Arundel County, and their terms shall expire at midnight of the Sunday
immediately preceding the first Monday of the month of May in 1963.
Thereafter appointments to such Board shall be for terms of four
years. Should any vacancy occur from any cause during the term of
any Board member, the Governor shall appoint a qualified successor
to complete the unexpired balance of such term. Upon the presentation
of satisfactory evidence in open hearing, the Governor shall 1mve
full power to remove any member of the Board for reasons of in-
competence or improper conduct".

Mr. Melvin, duly seconded, moved that the House concur in the
Senate amendment.
Said motion prevailed and the Senate amendment was concurred in.
