STATE OF MARYLAND, TO WIT:
This being the day appointed by the Governor for a special session
of the General Assembly at 10: 00 A. M.
Mr. James P. Mause, Chief Clerk of the House of Delegates during
the regular session of February, 1962, called the House to order and after
the offering of prayer by Hon. Charles Culver of Baltimore County,
called the roll and the following Members answered to their names:

Mr. Caldwell, duly seconded, nominated the Hon. Homer White as
Speaker, pro tern.
Hon. Homer White was unanimously elected Speaker pro tern and
was administered the oath of office.
Mr. Boone, duly seconded, moved to elect Hon. Perry O. Wilkinson of
Prince George's County, Speaker of the House of Delegates for the
Special Session of March 9, 1962.
Hon. Perry O. Wilkinson was then elected as Speaker of the House
of Delegates.
Messrs. Boone and Reed escorted the Speaker to the Rostrum.
The oath of office was administered by the Chief Clerk to the Hon.
Perry O. Wilkinson as Speaker for the Special Session of the House of
Delegates.
