Senator Pine asked that the rules be suspended in order to report
the following bill and two-thirds of the Senators-elect, voting in the
affirmative, the rules were suspended by yeas and nays as follows:

House Bill No. 24—By Mr. McGuirk:

Subject: TO AMEND THE 1957 STREETS, HIGHWAYS AND
BRIDGE BOND ISSUE FOR BALTIMORE CITY.

Amendments to House Bill No. 24
By the Committee:

Amendment No. 1—Strike out everything after the word "thereof"
in line 3 and strike out all of lines 4, 5, 6, and 7 thereunder in the title
of the printed bill and insert in lieu thereof the following:

"(which Chapter 521 authorized the Mayor and City Council of
Baltimore to borrow $20, 000, 000. 00 and generally to use the same for
highway, tunnel, bridge, and viaduct purposes and things appurtenant
thereto), providing that none of such loan funds, with certain exceptions,
shall be expended for any portion of the proposed East-West Radial
Highway until the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore shall provide
for the establishment of a relocation office to aid and assist in the
relocation of persons residing in or occupying any property which
may be acquired for the aforesaid East-West Radial Highway; pro-
viding for financing the establishment and operation of such office,
and relating generally to a limitation upon the use of a portion of said
loan funds. "

out the words "by ordinance".
