generally as the Provident Hospital whether or not the contemplated
new hospital is designated by the same name, and for doing any and
all things necessary, proper or expedient in connection with any and
all of the things hereinbefore mentioned, including, but not limited to,
the payment for services rendered by architects, engineers and other
consultants which may be needed or rendered in connection with the
planning and construction of said hospital building or structure and
hospital facilities, all for the aforesaid Provident Hospital; providing
that none of the proceeds derived from the sale of the certificates of
indebtedness shall be expended for any of the purposes hereinbefore
mentioned unless and until the Board of Estimates of the Municipality
receives certain1 assurances from the Board of Public Works of the
State of Maryland; authorizing said municipality to submit an ordinance
or ordinances for said purpose to the legal voters of Baltimore City,
and providing generally for the issuance and sale of said certificates
of indebtedness. "

House Bill No. 9—By The Anne Arundel County Delegation:

A Bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
Section 521 (b) of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1961
Supplement), title 'Crimes and Punishments, ' sub-title 'Sabbath Break-
ing', to further define the kinds of retail establishments that may sell
certain goods and merchandise on Sunday in Anne Arundel County. "

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on Rules.

House Bill No. 10—By the Allegany County Delegation:

A Bill entitled "An Act to add a new Section 148A to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Allegany County (1955 Edition, being Article 1
of the Code of Public Local Laws: of Maryland), title 'Allegany County, '
sub-title 'Fire Companies, ' to follow immediately after Section 148
thereof, authorizing the County Commissioners of Allegany County to
pay an extra sum of money annually to certain fire departments, fire
companies and hose companies therein, and providing generally for the
amount and the terms and conditions of any such payments. "

House Bill No. 11—By The Prince George's County Delegation:

A Bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
Section 108(16) (d) of Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1961 Supplement), title 'Justices of the Peace, ' -sub-title 'Trial Magis-
trates System, ' relating to the service of civil process issued by the
judges of the People's Court of Prince George's County and to the
expense of serving such process. "

House Bill No. 12—By The Talbot County Delegation:

A Bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
Section 707A of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1961
