Senate Bill No. 13—By Senator Dorf:

Subject: "BALTIMORE CITY", sub-title "POLICE COMMIS-
SIONER", PROVIDING FOR COMPENSATION FOR ANY OFFICER
OR EMPLOYEE OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT OF BALTIMORE
CITY, WHO SPENDS TIME IN APPEARING OR IN WAITING TO
APPEAR IN ANY COURT AS A WITNESS IN A CIVIL CASE, AS
PART OF HIS REGULAR AND OFFICIAL DUTIES.

Mr. Della from the Rules Committee recommended Senate Bill No.
13 be re-referred to the Finance Committee.

Said recommendation was approved and Senate Bill No. 13 was re-
referred to the Finance Committee.

RECESS

At 12: 10 o'clock P. M. on motion of Mr. Northrop, the Senate took a
recess until 2: 00 o'clock P. M.

AFTER RECESS
At 2: 00 P. M. o'clock the Senate resumed its session.

Senator Dorsey asked that the rules be suspended in order to intro-
duce a bill, and two-thirds of the Senators-elect, voting in the affirmative,
the rules were suspended by yeas and nays as follows:

Senate Bill No. 15—By Senator Dorsey:

A Bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
Section 715 (b) of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1960
Supplement), title 'Natural Resources', sub-title 'Oysters and Clams',
and to add new Section 715B to said article and code to follow imme-
diately after Section 715A thereof, relating generally to the taking of
soft shell clams within the tidal waters of St. Mary's County but exclud-
ing the tributary waters of the Chesapeake Bay and Patuxent River and
all waters of the Potomac River. "

Which was read first time and referred to the Committee on Rules.
