the expenses of the General Assembly of Maryland for the Ex-
traordinary Session of 1961.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the sum of Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25, 000), or so much
thereof as may be necessary, be and the same is hereby appropriated
as an emergency appropriation from any funds in the General Sur-
plus Fund Account of the Treasury of the State for the fiscal year
ending June 30, 1961, for the payment of the officers and employees
of the General Assembly of Maryland of the Extraordinary Session
of 1961 and for the expenses of said Session, including mileage and
expenses of the members, printing, binding and miscellaneous ex-
penses.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the Treasurer of the State
shall, upon the warrant of the Comptroller, disburse the said sum of
money herein appropriated for the objects and purposes herein
specified, to or upon the order of the person or persons entitled to
receive the same.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby declared
to be an emergency measure and necessary for the immediate preser-
vation of the public health and safety, and having been passed by a
yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of all of the members
elected to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, the same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

(Senate Bill 9)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 303A,
303B and 303C of Article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Dorchester County", sub-title
"Fire Departments", as said sections were last amended by Chapter
31 of the Acts of 1959, providing for an appropriation by the County
Commissioners of Dorchester County to Taylor's Island Volunteer
Fire Company, Inc. and amending the law also as to the total
appropriations made to volunteer fire companies by the County
Commissioners of Dorchester County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 303A, 303B and 303C of Article 10 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Dorchester
County", sub-title "Fire Departments", as said sections were last
amended by Chapter 31 of the Acts of 1959, be and they are hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
