The Rules being suspended, Senate Bill No. 12 was placed on third
reading and final passage.

Subject: SECTION 2 OF CHAPTER 321 OF THE ACTS OF 1961,
TO MAKE PARTICULAR PROVISION FOR THE IMPOSITION AND
EFFECTIVENESS OF CERTAIN TAXES ON CIGARETTES IN

Amendment to House Bill No. 3

In lines 2 and 3 of the title, and in lines 11 and 12 of Section 1 on
page 1 of the third reading file bill, strike out in each instance, the
following: "Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200, 000. 00)" and insert
in each instance the following: "Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($750, 000. 00)".

Which amendment was read and concurred in.

Mr. Boone, duly seconded, moved that the House concur in the Senate
amendment.

Said motion prevailed and the Senate amendments were concurred in.
