Amendments to Senate Bill No. 7
By the Ways and Means Committee:
Amendment No. 1—In lines 5, 6, 7 and 8 of the title of the third
reading file bill, strike out the following: "exempt certain sales by grocery
stores and sales of certain ice-cream products from the retail sales tax
and defining the term 'grocery store' for the purposes of this sub-title"
and insert in lieu thereof the following: "exclude certain items of food
from the imposition of the retail sales tax".

Amendment No. 2—Strike out all of lines 20 to 34, inclusive, of sub-
section (f) on Pages 1 and 2 of the third reading file bill and insert in
lieu thereof the following: "(1) The sale of alcoholic beverages regard-
less of the place of consumption; and the sale of any meals, food or
drink for human consumption on the premises where sold. For the pur-
poses of this section the word 'premises' shall include, among other
places, parking lots connected with the place where the food is sold".
