A Bill entitled: "An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
Section 324 (f) and Section 326 (e) of Article 81 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1960 Supplement), as amended by Chapter 655 of
the Acts of 1961, title 'Revenue and Taxes', sub-title 'Retail Sales Tax
Act', amending the Retail Sales Tax Act in order to exempt certain
sales by grocery stores and sales of ice-cream products from the retail
sales tax and defining the term 'grocery store' for the purposes of this
sub-title. "

A Bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
Section 303A, 303B and 303C of Article 10 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title 'Dorchester County', sub-title
'Fire Departments', as said sections were last amended by Chapter 31
of the Acts of 1959, providing for an appropriation by the County Com-
missioners of Dorchester County to Taylor's Island Volunteer Fire Com-
pany, Inc., and amending the law also as to the total appropriations made
to volunteer fire companies by the County Commissioners of Dorchester
County. "

Senate Bill No. 10—By Mr. Malkus:
A Bill entitled "An Act to add new Section 211 (i) to Article 89B
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title 'State Roads',
sub-title 'Refunding Bonds for Issues under Sections 106 to 118 of this
Article', sub-heading 'State Highway Construction Bonds, Second Issue',
to follow immediately after Section 211 (h) thereof, providing that the
State Roads Commission under the provisions of said Section 211, shall
not issue in any fiscal year on behalf of Dorchester County, bonds in
excess of the face amount of one hundred and fifty thousand dollars
($150, 000). "

Senate Bill No. 11—By Mr. Seel
A Bill entitled "An Act to authorize and empower the County Com-
missioners of Allegany County to borrow an amount not to exceed Nine
Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($9, 500, 000. 00) and to issue
bonds and promissory notes or other certificates of indebtedness therefor
in order to finance the design, engineering and legal services, right-of-
way acquisitions, the construction and establishment of a water trans-
mission system and all appurtenances thereto and to finance the acquisition
of any properties, rights, easements and franchises relating thereto, ex-
tending from the Savage River Dam in Garrett County, Maryland, to
the City of Cumberland, Allegany County, Maryland, with connections
