after on or before July 1, of each year. The trading stamp company
shall pay a registration fee of twenty-five dollars to the Secretary
of State at the time of filing each such registration statement

243. No trading stamp company shall cease or suspend the redemp-
tion of trading stamps in this State without filing with the Secretary
of State at least ninety days' prior written notice of its intention
so to do and concurrently mailing a copy of such notice to each
retailer within this State which has at any time theretofore within
one year issued trading stamps which the company is obligated to
redeem.

Any person violating any provision of this sub-title shall be
guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined
not more than one thousand dollars.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Sections 564 to 573,
inclusive, of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957
Edition), title "Crimes and Punishments", sub-title "Trade—Trad-
ing Stamps", be and the same are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

CHAPTER 651
(House Bill 532)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 331 of
Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Natural Resources", sub-title "Crabs, Lobster and Terrapins",
prohibiting unlicensed persons from carrying trot lines having a
total combined length of more than 100 yards, and relating gen-
erally to taking and catching of crabs in this State.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 331 of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Natural Resources", sub-title "Crabs, Lobster
and Terrapins", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

331. It shall be lawful for any person or persons to take or catch
crabs by scrape, dip net and trot line in any of the waters of the
State and in no other manner or by any other means, except that in
Kent and Queen Anne's counties soft crabs may be taken by means
of hand-drawn net scrape, and in Anne Arundel County, except within
the waters of the Severn River, hard or soft crabs may be taken by
