CHAPTER 602
(Senate Bill 249)

AN ACT to add new Section 35A to Article 101 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Workmen's Compensa-
tion", sub-title "Application of Article; Extra-Hazardous Em-
ployments", TO FOLLOW IMMEDIATELY AFTER SECTION 35
THEREOF, providing that prisoners working in Wicomico ,
FREDERICK and Worcester Counties shall be subject to the pro-
visions of the Workmen's Compensation Act.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 35A be and it is hereby added to Article 101 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Workmen's
Compensation", sub-title "Application of Article; Extra-Hazard-
ous Employments", TO FOLLOW IMMEDIATELY AFTER SEC-
TION 35 THEREOF, to read as follows:

35A.

The provisions of Section 35 shall apply to any prisoners working
for the County Roads Board or the Board of County Commissioners
of Wicomico
, FREDERICK or Worcester Counties.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

CHAPTER 603
(Senate Bill 368)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 214 of
Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Revenue and Taxes", sub-title "Limitations", making pro-
vision for certain persons, firms, or corporations claiming local
tax exemptions under the provisions of Section 511 of Public
Law 1020 passed by the Congress of the United States in the
year 1956 or any amendment thereto and relating generally to such
local tax exemptions.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 214 of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Revenue and Taxes", sub-title "Limitations",
be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

214.

(a). Whenever any person shall claim to have erroneously or
mistakenly paid to the county commissioners of any county, or to
