"Circuit Court", relating to the destruction of conditional sales
contracts filed in the Circuit Court of Allegany County and relat-
ing generally to such contracts in Allegany County.
Whereas, Section 43 (d) of the Allegany County Code authorizes
the Clerk of the Circuit Court of that county to destroy conditional
sales contracts three years after they have been filed with him; and
Whereas, Repeal of Section 43 (d) is contingent upon passage of
the Legislative Council sponsored bill amending Section 67 of Article
21 of the Annotated Code to provide for destruction of conditional
sales contracts by all clerks of the courts after five years; and
Whereas, In the interest of uniformity of laws and having the
law on a subject all in one place, repeal of sub-section (d) of this
local law is proposed.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 43 (d) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Allegany
County (1955 Edition, being Article 1 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Allegany County", sub-title "Circuit
Court", be and it is hereby repealed.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 11 (11)
of Article 73B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Pensions", sub-title "In General", amending the laws con-
cerning optional allowances under the State Employees' Retire-
ment System and relating generally to the choice of optional
allowances by members of that System.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 11 (11) of Article 73B of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Pensions", sub-title "In General",
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

(11) Optional allowances.—(a) In lieu of the disability or service
allowances payable under the aforesaid provisions, any member
may, prior to the first retirement allowance payment normally due,
elect a retirement allowance of equivalent actuarial value in one of
the optional forms set out below. The election of the option shall be
made on a form provided for that purpose and shall be filed with
