Mary's County for certain clerical help in the Treasurer's office of
the county.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 51 (d) of Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1957 Edition), title "County Commissioners", sub-title "Coun-
ty Treasurers", be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
51.
(d). The county treasurer of St. Mary's County shall receive
an annual salary of $3,600.00. Beginning June 1, 1957, the deputy
county treasurer of St. Mary's County shall receive an annual salary
of $3,200.00 and BEGINNING JUNE 1, 1959 the CLERK TO THE
[incumbent] county treasurer shall receive [, for the duration of
his present term only the sum of $1,000.00 annually for clerical
expenses] the sum of $2,400.00 annually. for clerical help in addition
to the Treasurer and his deputy.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 194 (g)
of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Licenses", sub-title "Dog Licenses in the Counties", relating
to the salary of the dog warden and to a dog pound in St. Mary's
County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 194 (g) of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1957 Edition), title "Licenses", sub-title "Dog Licenses in the
Counties", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
194.
(g) Dog wardens and pound in St. Mary's County.—The Board of
County Commissioners of St. Mary's County is hereby authorized to
employ a dog warden at an annual salary [not to exceed $1,800 per
annum] to be determined by the County Commissioners. Such
warden shall collect and dispose of all unlicensed dogs in a manner
and on conditions to be prescribed by the County Commissioners.
Said Commissioners are authorized to provide a dog pound for the
